First Look: Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of the Nymph Circe

At long last, Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced the sequel of 2021’s first installment of the latest Gundam movie trilogy, Hathaway’s Flash, titled “The Sorcery of the Nymph Circe”!

Bandai Namco Entertainment (previously known as Sunrise) revealed the trailer for the long-awaited second installment of the Hathaway movie trilogy, which is the anime adaptation of the novel series Hathaway’s Flash. Titled “The Sorcery of the Nymph Circe”. The working title of the second film was “The San of Bright”, in which “san” in Japanese can be pronounced as “son”. Perhaps we’ll see more of the Noa family in The Sorcery of the Nymph Circe, including Hathaway’s father; the Greatest of All-Time, Bright Noa.

The Hathaway’s Flash novels, taking place after Char’s Counterattack, have never been released outside of Japan. But this trilogy project fixes that issue—although with the success of the global launch of the first film through Netflix in July 2021, seeing through the conclusion of the trilogy is hopeful for a global release of the original source novel. Additionally, this announcement is exciting as it has been 4 years since the release of the first Hathaway movie, the production delayed due to the early 2020s pandemic.

The voice cast and staff returns in The Sorcery of the Nymph Circe for a Winter 2026 release. Check out the trailer English dub trailer below! A Japanese-language trailer is also available via the GundamInfo YouTube channel.
